Q&A with Emily Snowdon

What inspired you to study law?

While I was completing my undergraduate degree in Politics I undertook a professional placement year where I worked as a paralegal in a niche family and commercial practice. This experience allowed me to understand the role of a solicitor and the service that they provide to their clients. This inspired me to want to pursue this as a career and undertake an LLM.

How do you support Emma and Nicki?

I support Emma and Nicki in a number of ways. I will often assist them with drafting correspondence, meeting with clients and preparing for court hearings. My role is multifaceted meaning I will often be completing a wide range of work for Emma and Nicki and no two days are the same.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

The thing I enjoy most about my role is meeting and supporting clients through their legal journey. At NE Family Law there is a focus on our work being client-centered and as such developing good relationships with clients is a priority and something I enjoy.

What are your passions outside of work?

Outside of work I enjoy being as active as possible and my passions include yoga, pilates and tennis.

What’s your biggest fear?

My biggest fear is definitely flying! Thankfully the majority of our work is in the UK and as such this is not something I have to encounter often.
