We can take you through all the process options available to you, dependent on your specific circumstances. We can assist clients who are not married, married or civil partners and where there are issues of jurisdiction. At all times discretion, sensitivity and resolving matters as efficiently as possible are our primary objectives.
The vast majority of divorce or dissolution cases in England and Wales are dealt with administratively. In the very rare cases, the decision to formalise a separation by way of divorce or dissolution is contested, we can provide you advice as to how those proceedings should be best dealt with.
With effect from September 2021 all proceedings must be processed using the HMRC online portal. We are able to take the burden of electronic filing from you and manage this process on your behalf which enables us to:
- Prepare and file documents electronically;
- Keep you updated as to progress and status of your matter;
- Reduce costs
We offer a fixed fee on all undefended divorce/dissolution proceedings to give you certainty as to your costs. Such costs are separate for those who are dealing with circumstances including finances and children, however this will always be discussed at the outset of your matter.
Whether or not you have made a firm decision about whether your marriage/relationship has come to an end, you can have a clearer understanding of your legal rights and responsibilities and mapping the path moving forward. Please contact us to obtain advice and guidance on the options for you and your circumstances. We will always endeavour to support you and guide you to make it a smooth a process as possible.
